19th century Antique Pearlware Blue & White Staffordshire Old Willow Pattern Cake Stand

Lovely 19th century tazza or cakestand circa 1820-50's Pearlware in Old Willow Pattern classic blue and white
Tazza's are shallow sided bowls usually on a single pedestal foot. They were used for a variety of table functions, general serving bowls, fruit display and serving bowls and stands for cakes and syllabubs. This one was probably used as a stilton cheese dish & later as a cake stand which explains the small nicks to rim which would have occurred when the cheese or cake was sliced.
This 19th century transfer pattern in classic blue and white willow decoration is a good original example and would make a perfect cake stand or cheese plate for any collector of antique blue & white ware.
9 1/2" diameter 2 1/2" to rim height
Condition note : There a several small nicks to the rim of this piece the largest is shown in grahic 4, we would emphasise to internet buyers that these do not detract from the feel and look of the piece and are in keeping with its age & use.
