Mid 20th century pair of slip moulded Staffordshire spaniel style china dogs by William Kent.
- A small matched pair of black and white King Charles Spaniels. Hand decorated in black and copper lustre glaze with almost plain rears.
- Factory marks, Kent Staffordshire ware Rope Marks
- Date range 1944 - 1962
- Being opposing they are a true pair. The dogs stand 11.5-inches tall and the smaller bitch 11-inch
- Both models are around 7.5-inch long
- This pair is a very good large example from the mid 20th century and are fine slip moulded examples with fully molded front legs. the black nose patches that are sponge applied and the chain detailing in copper lustre enamel is well applied
- The impressed coat moulding is also well formed unlike later slip moulded examples
- One large slip moulding hole on the base plate as shown
