Mid 20th century pair of slip moulded Staffordshire spaniel style china dogs by William Kent.
- A small matched pair of black and white King Charles Spaniels. Hand decorated in black and copper lustre glaze with almost plain rears.
- Decorators marks JB, Kent Staffordshire ware Rope Marks
- Date range 1944 - 1962
- Being opposing they are a true pair. The dogs stand 6.5-inches tall
- Both models are around 4.5-inch long
- This pair is from the mid 20th century and are slip moulded examples . the black coat patches are sponge applied and the chain detailing in copper lustre enamel is quite coarsely applied
- The impressed coat moulding is also minimal as to be expected with later slip moulded examples
- One large slip moulding hole on the base plate as shown
